Hind Leg Weakness Help For Lucy

Thanks to Elizabeth for providing the photo and sharing her experience while using one of PawHealer's hind leg weakness formulas..Here's what they say:

Lucy, is our 4 year old Schipperke, that was showing signs of extreme hind leg weakness and very listless, which is most unusual for a young Schip. We have seen so much improvement since we have been giving her the Hind Leg Weakness formula. We have had her to our Vet several times without a lot of relief. I searched the Web and found PawHealer.Com and entered Lucy's symptoms and ordered what they recommended. She does much better now, can get up and down on her own and walks with much more ease. We are so thankful that she is doing so much better.

Lucy uses Hind-Leg Weakness for Phlegm Heat Brewing...

Generally I find that this formula tends to work dogs that are perhaps overweight..these are canines that have lots of damp/phlegm accumulation...in TCM, the thinking is that the channels are blocked due phlegm stasis...

Hind-Leg weakness formulas work great for dogs..this happens to many dogs as they age. At this time, it is the most important time, in which to supplement the dog with herbs. And they are so effective!

Unhappy Collapsed Trachea Customer...PawHealer Response

This is a post that was made by a Facebook user. I appreciate her feed back..however, I believe that people should have a broader view of both herbal and western medicine. If only serious diseases could have 100% cures, think about all the sick people and pets who would be better. The realities of life is that once disease exists, and of a serious nature, we can only hope to manage the diseases. Honestly, herbs and western medicine can do this. But every person and every dog is different. What also matters, are enviornmental factors such as diet, exercise, toxins. There is no magic bullet...but to say that herbal medicine does not work, is not right. Why do people have unrealistic expectations of herbs that they do not impose on western medications...sigh...as an herbalist, I can only shake my head...and be thankful of all the people that post and tell me that I have helped their dog..

Marlene C.....Her Facebook post
I just want all of out their to know that I was NOT happy with the herbs i got and wasted money on for little pom who suffers from a collapsed trachea, as they did NOT WORK so don't waste your money on the herbs for that condition, i even talked to the vet and i said the herbs are not working and she said they usually don't work on a collapsed trachea yet they sell this Empirical Lung support Phlegm Heat for it stating it helps this condition. Don't waste your money !!!!!!!!!!!! Surgery is the only thing that helps this condition ! They must write their own reviews for this product !!!!

Hi Marlene...first of all, herbs are herbs....i freely admit as an acupunturist for people and an herbalist for pets...that herbal remedies do not work 100% of the time...neither does westeern medications. I looked up your order, and I see that you did not fill out a pattern survey...we have formulas for all types of cough...things can effect the choice of formulas...such as problems with the heart...is it a phlegm-heat or a phlegm damp cough...what is your dog eating? In other words, the Phlegm Heat formula may not be the right one for your pom. I am sad that you feel that herbs have no place in healing, when in fact, that's just not the case. Many dogs with collapsed trachea have found a tremendous relief..I wish that we had remedies that could cure disease 100 percent...but that does not exist in life for pets or people. Vets are not licensed for herbal medicine, they hardly know what it is. I would also like to add that I have many dogs who have been on vet medicines and have no results at all either...Disease is tough, we have to manage the diseases with everything in a toolbox. This includes western meds and herbals...if you would like to try another formula based on a survey, I would be happy to work something out. Regards..Holly Mead (licensed acupuncturst/clinical herblist)

PS....we don not write our testomionals....nor do we fake all the photos that are put up. That's quite mean to say...also....here is what we write in our FAQ...Do Herbs Work? As a company who sells herbals we always get a little frustrated with this question. Of course they are effective, HOWEVER we can never be 100% sure of the results since every cat, dog and person is different and the degree of disease progression does impact the outcome. But without a doubt Chinese herbs have shown to be very beneficial for our pets.

NOT ALL MEDICINES WORK!...

For some reason we have lost our ability to be rational with respect to herbal remedies. As a company we wouldn't offer herbs that can't help, however it would be foolish to claim that they work 100% of the time, that's not logical right?

We can say that they really do help support a dogs health naturally. We could not stay in business if we did not have happy customers.

Lucy Pain Free!

Thanks to Gayle from Kenosha WI., who reported to us how Lucy is doing:
"I am a 2 year old weimaraner and tore my acl in my back leg. After taking Empirical Herbal analgesic I can now be pain free. The best part is it works immediately and mixed with a little ice cream it's like a little bit of heaven..Thanks PawHealer and thanks Mom and Dad."

Gaye bought a couple of formulas, and found that herbs that helped to "move the blood" worked best to relieve Lucy's pain. We are grateful that Gayle has shared Lucy's story.

Questions About Heartworm Herbs and a Wolf!

Hello Everyone...

I recieved these questions from a customer and they are great questions. One of the questions was about using our herbal formula for Heartworm for prevention ...and the answer in this particular case is NO NEED TO USE IT...San Diego does not have Heartworm!

I want to thank Tracy for her great questions, and I hope my answers can help other people as well.

Thanks Tracy, Dutchess and Ta-Tay!

L.Ac/Clinical Herbalist

Hi Holly, the person I spoke to regarding the order below was also going to have the herbalist call me and maybe that’s you.  I see in the order confirm that specific questions should be directed to you so here I go.  If you’re not the appropriate person, please forward this email accordingly.

1)      Once I receive the Heartworm Support, I will start treating my high content wolfdog for occult heartworm infection.  We haven’t had her long and she came from mosquito/heartworm territory.  She’s an exotic animal mostly wolf in the 90% range so I’m wondering if the suggested dosage is the same for her.  Her weight is 85 lbs and she’s 8 years old.  She has a higher tolerance to remedies and doesn’t always respond.  Rescue Remedy and other herbal and natural products have been somewhat ineffective.

Dosage...I would expect the same...the dosage is based on weight for both dogs and humans..

Since she has no Microfilaremia or baby/offspring heartworm present in her blood, what should be the initial dosage of Heartworm Support … the higher suggested dosage outlined below in the order confirm or the lower dosage described on the bottle?  If the higher dosage, then given for how long because she already tests negative on the microfilaria test.

I would think the lower dosage since there are not any symptoms...Give it to her 5 days on and take two days off a week.

She has no signs or symptoms so I plan to treat her for the shorter 16 week duration and hope for a negative re-test at that point, otherwise I’ll continue treatment for the longer 24-36 weeks.  Since she has a higher tolerance to natural remedies, she may need to be treated for a longer period, but obviously, I hope for full effectiveness and that she responds immediately.

The thing is...that she needs to be tested after 6 months. Because even if the adults are dead...they may be in the heart decaying. This results in the DNA stil present. Thus, they can be dead and you get a positive...

2)      Is it safe to give her the Heartworm Support with your other products such as the Magic Flea Herb?  How about other natural supplements like Apple Cider Vinegar, garlic, Omega Oils, Glucosamine Chondroitin, MSM.  She did need a Parvo & Distemper vaccination last week and a chemical topical flea & tick application that I do not plan on doing again.  Is it okay to start the Heartworm Support with the vaccines and chemical in her system or do I need to wait a period of time before starting treatment?

Yes you can start right away. I like the idea of using Garlic, it is traditonal remedy used world wide to fight against parasites...Also, I would be really careful how much stuff you put into that sweet wolf..all that crap adds up and ruins the immune system. Try to stay as natural as possilbe, and work on stregthening her immune system.

3)  I want to make sure I understand the usage/dosage for heartworm prevention as ongoing maintenance.  Is the dosage the same as for treatment based on weight but 7 days on 7 days off and repeat during a month and continuous throughout the year?  I live in San Diego (Encinitas) so do you think she needs prevention year round?

We are neighbors!!! You don't need any prevention, we don't have heartworm!!!! There are many articles written about this...I have 4 dogs and live in Escondido, they have never seen a flea, tick or heartorm poison!

4)      Lastly, what’s the taste of the Heartworm Support?  Is it bitter?  I’m just trying to get an idea of whether she’ll eat it in her food or not.

The over all flavor is sour...so dogs will take it in the food, some won't...

I think that’s it … sorry for overload!  Thank you for your expertise.  Attached are some pics of my wolf, Duchess … and her Malamute/Arctic Wolf sister, Ta-tay.

Thanks again!
Tracy

Thanks from Lucy and Gunner...Anxiety and Bladder Stones

Thanks for Cindy from Temecula CA....her dogs are 15 years young, and she is using Chinese herbs to help with the aging process of these two beaustiful dogs...Next time Cindy comes to PawHealer.com...I am going to make her custom formulas free of charge...We need to tonify Yang for both of these beauties...

Cindy has used Urninary Free the Flow for bladder stones and Calm the Spirit for the anxiety...

"My two older Australian Shepherds - Lucy and Gunner are both going to be 15 in August and September of 2013. They both are very healthy geriatric dogs! Lucy has had issues with body heat which has caused pooling in her bladder, the Chinese herbs Bladder Support and the Immu G.O and Rena G.O have helped her immensely! She is not licking as much and is much more comfortable. Gunner has had perfect health and then started getting a little bit of anxiety where he has been whining and licking everything and just seems "out of it." I started him on the Calm the spirit formula and he is much more relaxed now and seems to be back to his normal self. I am glad that I found Paw Healer as they are helping my older dogs age with ease."

Chipi's Bladder Stone Story

This story was given to us by Ana ot of Woodlands, TX. Her dog Chippi has used Uniniary Free The Flow for her dog's bladder stones.

"Last year around this same time I took Chipi, my 5 yr. old dachshund to the vet because she was piing blood, they found 3 bladder stones a bit smaller than a dime, the vet told methat the only alternative was surgery with the possibility that she would have them again. He also mentioned there that some people try the "natural" approach but in reality doesn't work. This gave me the clue to start looking for another alternative because I was not about to spend $3,000 without any guarantee that she would not get them again. So I found Paw Healer online and left my question there, the very next day they called me! the gentleman was so convinced that the product works that assured me that she would be fine. It took 2 treatments but by September she was cured, he did tell me that they tend to return and that I should give her another product (which I didn't) as maintenance. She is having problems again, not as bad as before, so I am going to start her on Urinary Free The Flow again, and as soon as she is healthy, this time, I sure will give her the other product, I will call and ask which one it is. I just wanted to thank you, because your product works and I am sure it will work again, I have told good things about it every time I get a chance to share Chipi's story."

So, the bottom line, is like most dogs who develop bladder stones...I wonder what Chippi is being fed...although we have a product called Stonezyme to help prevent the return on the stones, I strongly believe that lifestyle choices..which is the food the dog eats and regular exercise, will make the difference...

Thanks to Ana for sharing...I will be in touch with her to talk about those changes.

Sammy Is Happy With Dissolve; Lumps Improving

"My sweet Sammy developed a fatty lump several years ago. I chose not to operate and it continued to grow slowly. It is below his chest and did not seem to bother him much until several months ago. It was hard for him to get around and he just seemed sad. I could also feel the beginning of another one under his arm.He is 10 and has always had a hip issue. After researching I found Paw Healers and started him on the dissolve. Almost immediately, he seemed to be happier and very quickly was able to get around better. It seemed to help his leg also. His lump is very large, but has gotten smaller and the shape is changing. It does not bother him nearly as much. It seems lighter and softer. The change is not dramatic, but I would not want it to be. Again- it is very large and it took years to get that large. I am THRILLED that he feels better. He is now on a grain free diet (shame on me for not knowing what less healthy food was doing to my baby). Customer service is excellent and I am happy with the results of dissolve."

Thanks to Summer from Hartsville, SC for posting this....

Canine fatty lumps, also known as lipomas, improve with a myrid of approces...First and foremost is to clean up the diet. The bare minimum is a menu free of grains...I advocate feeding fresh food, because simply, its not processed. Think about it...what would your own body look like if you just ate food out of a bag or box? You  would be lumpy yourself! Secondly, more exercise, a walk everyday...think what your body would look like if you were eating bagged pocessed food, and sitting around the house sleeping all day! And finally, a good herbal formula such as DISSOLVE to help...and you have the key to success.....

Thanks again to Summer and Sammy!

Bladder Stone Success!

Maeli has been on 4 capsules a day for about a year after a life time of operations and problems with bladder stones that are a mix of oxilate and struvite. I think your herbs are saving her! My question: at the moment she gets 2 blood stagnation + 2 stonezyme daily. I need a new order. should I vary the mix? and should I take a week off?

My response to this would be to check with what food Maeli is receiving, I always recommend fresh food cooking....then I would suggest Urinary Free The Flow for Basic Formula and lower dosages for long term use....I would also suggest that Maeli receive a lot of chicken broth in order to take in more water....

Angus Doing Better...No More Collapsed Trachea Cough!

This is Angus. He is one of my 11 year twin Maltese brothers. He was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea about 3 years ago. There was no medication prescribed. As time went on the cough has gotten worse to include throwing up with thick mucous.Angus has now been on the formula for collapse trachea for about 2 1/2 months and I can hardly believe the improvement. It took a good week(giving 3 times a day) to get it under control.I mean, I don't recall the last coughing "fit" he has had now :). It would break my heart when he was having that honking cough and throwing up. He would look up at me as if to say, "help me momma, I don't want to keep doing this." Those dark brown eye's looked so sad. I stumbled across Pawhealers while searching for natural help. I am so very glad I did. Thank you Pawhealer!! Patty Jones Wesdington NC

Thanks for Patricia for sharing. I would like to point out...that "collapsed trachea" is the western diagnosis. Traditional Chinese medicine does not recognize this name. The chief compliant for Angus, in the terms of Chinese herbal medicine...is "coughing"....all coughing is a result of phlegm accumulation. Most little dogs that have this type of condition, fall under our Empirical Lung Qi Support: for  Phlegm-Heat formula

For coughing of all types....the patterns for all western diseases vary...depending on the type of phlegm, as well as a condition called blood stagnation. Furthermore, sometimes a pet does not follow into any of these patterns, and when this happens we customize formulas to fit the situtation.

I know its confusing, however the complexity of the Chinese herbal remedies, provides a much bigger toolbox for the pet owner. If one does not work, then another many...Always remember, that unfortunately herbs don't work in every instance....but I have to say, that our herbal formulas for dogs that cough for all types of reasons...really does them to manage their coughs.

Heartworm Support hellps Sassy in Florida to improve within weeks.

I ordered stuff (herbs: Heartworm Support) and got it last week on the 25th of May for my 13 year old dog for heartworms, they (the Pawhealer Reps) said it would take about 30 days to even notice a difference, could it be my imagination, the dog is still gagging, but not as bad. It's not as long or as hard, is it possible for the stuff to be working in only 1 week? I will be buying more soon as I get paid as I know she needs to be on it for 24 weeks, thank you for all your help in finding the meds (herbs: Heartworm Support) my dog needs without hurting her with poisons.

Tammi C
Florida in May 2013

Pawhealer response to Tammi: Yes, this is not unusual to see a resurgence in energy return to normal activity such as eating, playing and running. And a diminishing of coughing and gagging. However, we caution do not be fooled by this improvement and take it as a sign to lower the herbs.  Heartworm Support should be given full strength following recommended guidelines per weight on bottle and DO NOT lower the dose of the herbs for at least 2-3 months.

No Bladder Stone Surgery For Moose

Thank you to Gina B. from Virgina Beach, VA for sharing Moose's bladder stone story....Gina has found that Uniniary Free The Flow for blood stagnation pattern worked great for her beautiful dog....

"Moose was diagnosed with urate or cysteine bladder stones in April of 2012. We immediately began treating him with Urinary Free the Flow. About 2 weeks later at his follow up appointment, the stones were gone. We finished the bottle of Free the Flow and went to Stonezyme. This proved to be a bit too soon, as he developed MORE stones in December of 2012. In January the vet told us he saw 2 stones. In March there were 4. We switched back to Urinary Free the Flow, Blood Stagnation and at his most recent appointment (May 2013) all 4 stones were gone. I plan to continue with the Free the Flow for the rest of his life to prevent and dissolve these nasty things. NO SURGERY FOR MOOSE!"

STONEZYME -- Chinese Herbs Used For Bladder Stone Prevention

Stonezyme is the name of our product that we recommend to our customers to prevent bladder stones in dogs, cats and yes... humans!
Food Therapy For Dog Bladder Stones

Stonezyme is a combination of two Chinese herbs that supports good bladder health, it does this by promoting the free flow of urine. This is a combination of herbs that are used worldwide, and we have been providing them  to customers whom have sought out a natural approach so as to maintain their canine's bladder health by preventing obstructions within the bladder.

It is important for dog owners to understand that the mechanism of action, which is how these herbs actually work, is quite different than the terms used to prevent stones that are used by modern veterinary medicine.  It's been  through the accumulation of documentation over  thousands of years, as well as the herbal clinician's experiences, passing through generation after generation, that these herbals  are known to inhibit the formation of bladder stones, which TCM also refers to as obstructions.

However reader beware....preventing bladder stones is a western disease term....this is used simply as reference so that we can communicate, because Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) uses the term Damp-Heat to prevent bladder stones..thus Stonezyme actually prevents a Damp-Heat condion, which when it is severe,  transforms into Shi Lin  (Stone Dysuria). A bladder absent of Damp-Heat does not promote the formation of bladder stones. Thus, the fundamental difference between traditional and modern medicine is that Chinese herbs does not prevent stones, it  prevents accumulation of damp and heat which subsequently transforms into  hard accumulations known as Shi Lin....

Traditional Chinese medicine works in an entirely different construct then that of modern medicine, the two modalities are simply different and they do not cross reference, although it is tempting to try to force the square pegs of Traditional Chinese Medicine  into the round holes of modern veterinary medicine. Thus, many people miss the herbal experience because western veterinary medicine does not acknowledge the efficacy of alternative medicines.

Henry's Lipomas....

Pawhealer would like to thank Lorraine, from Erie, PA.....for sharing Henry's story. Henry has some pretty big lipomas... they are almost grape fruit size. Dissolve Herbal Formula has resolved smaller ones and soften the larger ones...however, after a period of time Henry has hit a wall and needed a custom formula.

We also asked that Henry go on a fresh food diet. I look at these lipomas as pockets of fat...a place where the body is dumping fat either due to a low quality food, a constitutional predisposition,  or overeating. Regardless of the cause....for dogs who develop these fatty pockets...lots of fresh food and exercise are life style changes that not only help rid the fatty tumors, but it also helps the overall well being of the pet.

Henry tolerated the Dissolve very well. I mixed it with warm water and added to his food. His smaller fatty tumors decreased in size. Sent message to Pawhealer.com  through Facebook with question about his large tumor. Response was great. Holly answered my inquiry immediately and very helpful and is making a formula to address Henry's large fatty tumors. Mark called and gave instructions on feeding and giving new formula being developed. So grateful for the concerns and advice received. Henry is 14 and so very precious to us.

One other side note about Dissolve Herbal Formula...is that so many customers report that the dog seems to have been mobility when taking the formula!

Nikko Stops Coughing!

Thanks so much to Robin from Redondo Beac, CA...who provided this testimonial for her dogs coughing:

So far Nikko's coughing is getting better.. and since he's lost weight he isn't collapsing. :) They love the flavor too. (Cough and Trachea support) Gigi is drinking more water so her bladder and stones haven't come back. Yeah!!

What's important for my customers to understand, is that coughing and bladder stones is most cases is a pattern callded  "Damp-Heat"....in the case, it is heat harassing the lungs, and where the bladder stones are concerned, it is the damp and the heat, pouring down.

Nikko was overweight, most likely due to eating processed food. Now that Nikko has begun to lose weight, and taken the herbs to drain the heat, transform damp, and stop coughing, he is doing much better.

If only I could get my wonderful customers to change feeding to fresh food...our little dog's would heal at record rates!

Thanks Robin...your testimonial helps me to teach others!

Heart Tonic & Heart Syrup + Rena GO work for Paco for Enlarged Heart

Paco is a 10 yr old small Pomeranian - horrid puppy mill survivor - Has been with me since 1/1/12 - rescued by COPR- soon after adoption -30% heart enlarged with collapsed trachea found - put on enapril for heart- had occasional honking and gag - at the beginning of 2013 noted increase in cough/gagging - tussigon helped some , was to give as needed for cough - He seem to sleep alot - appetite decreasing-urinating & drinking less water- was told of a chinese herb by a rescue person to give-purchased - seemed to make him worse

I went searching on web for Chinese herbs for dogs, came across www.pawhealer.com - read all they had to say about cardiac kidney herbs suggested. Called and talked with Marc who was extremely helpful and so confident in his knowledge of products - ordered the Combo group, with Empirical Heart Tonic, Honey Hound Syrup and Rena GO - that was first week of March 2013 - My Paco showed positive response from first dose. Each day got better. In 3 weeks, cut dose down to only once a day. Marc suggested to cut - when improved.

Results after 6 weeks - Paco is like a young dog, alert, playful again, eating and peeing well. only takes short naps and sleeps all night.I am so grateful to Pawhealers and amazed at the healthy change in Paco.

Sincerely
Peggy Cook

Pawhealer Response: the results can be this immediate although this is not the norm. It can take several weeks for the body to upload the herbs. But Paco's results are not uncommon as over the 5 years and thousands of cases we have done, we hear results like this weekly.

Heartworm Support works for heartworm prevention!!

May 2012, I began using the Empirical Heartworm Support for Rhett, after the monthly product he was on, stopped being manufactured till further notice. I am always seeking less chemicals and a more natural, organic, holistic approach, wherever possible. I spoke with one of your specialist and my Alternative Vet, Trisha Ballard and gave this a go to PREVENT heartworm. On 3/30/13, for his annual check up, Rhett tested negative to heartworm. Anyone residing in the Dallas area knows it got so bad last year, they had areal spraying (poor bees). I would strongly urge folks to consult with their alternative Vet and PawHealer to determine if Empirical Heartworm Support is a good fit for your dog.

Cough Conquered with Lung Qi Support Phlegm Heat & Hound Honey !!!!

Dear Pawhealer,

I want to thank you so much for your awesome herbs:  Lung Qi Phlegm Heat Formula with the Hound Honey Phlegm Heat Formula.  Last month my dog, Jimi Ray Hendrix (Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua Mix) (named for Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn) had a bad cough that became terribly bad.  He always had a cough that never went away since I got him in 2005, but this time it was to the point where he was coughing every few minutes, and he also had horrible wheezing.  It began to carry over to coughing throughout the night and I was holding him at night to keep him calm.  Since he didn’t have a purple tongue, was still very active, eating, drinking and pooping okay, I decided to go the herbal route, since I’d read some good testimonials on your website.  Plus, I wasn’t very happy about some of the treatments the vets were doling out for respiratory infections on animals and costing people thousands of dollars, which I didn’t have.  I started him on the combo 3x a day.  By the third day, I noticed a decrease in his coughing fits from once every couple of minutes to maybe a few an hour.  After a week, he was would only cough periodically.  After the second week, the coughing decreased even more.  So after three weeks, I decreased him to 2x a day – morning and night.  Within the past two weeks, I’ve put him on just at night.  I’ve only heard him cough once in the past week and it was just a quick, light cough.  He now runs and plays more with our younger dog, Lady Lucy, and he no longer has a coughing fit after chasing her around, like he used to.  Jimi will be 10 years old this June and he is still very youthful and active.  I will be keeping him on these herbs as a preventative, since he’s always had a cough.  Whatever it’s doing for his lungs is working and did I mention that he loves taking the medicine!  I spread the herbs on a small piece of bread and mix it with a  drop of honey.  I then give him the ½ teaspoon of the Hound Honey that he licks up from his own spoon.  He must have known this was medicine for him because when he was on the meds 3x and 2x a day, he would come and remind me by growling and dancing around my bed, like he does when it’s time for his walk or his water dish is empty.  For anyone whose pet suffers from respiratory issues, they should definitely give these herbs a try!

Little Pea makes recovery with Custom Liver herbal formula

Hi Mark -- here is the picture of PEA and her testimony.

Hi everyone,  this is my first testimonial.   I have an 11 year old Papillon, named PEA ( because she's so sweet, like a sweet pea )  and until this past November she was doing just great. One day she had diarrhea, and it had a little blood around it, and she vomited, I was concerned, but not overly worried.  Then I noticed her tummy was swelling.  She's a very small dog, and within days, she looked like a beach ball, she was so round.  I measured her belly and she was 21 and a half inches around.  I took her to the Vet.  They ran some blood work and put her on Steroids and Lasix ( a diuretic ) telling me that she was 'spilling' protein into her abdominal cavity and that the Lasix would get it out.
Every day I measured her and her tummy went down little by little.  At the same time however, she stopped eating, hardly drank, slept all the time, and was listless.
I took her back to the Vet.   They ran the blood work again, and told me that here ALT's or something like that, which should be less than 100, were 35,208 -- very very bad.  They said she has Liver Failure.   I was devastated.  At this point in time, I was able to get her to eat a little cat food ( bad for her due to the high protein levels, which she can't process )  but it was that or nothing.  Sometimes she'd eat a bit of a scrambled egg, or a bit of hamburger from our local Mc'Donalds ( not my choice, but hers )  anything to get some food into her.  I'd even syringe water in her mouth.   She hardly went to the bathroom, there was nothing to let out.
I took her back to the Vet, and they did a Bile test, where she had to fats, then drew blood, then they force fed her and took her blood again.  Bad news.  She's going to die.  Liver Failure for sure.

I had just come back from my Mothers Funeral 2 days earlier.   I was frantic to save Pea.
I found this website -  I called Mark - he suggested that I do the questionnaire and if she lived through the weekend, the custom formula would arrive on Monday.   That was Saturday January 26th.
After I hung up with Mark, I called the Vet, we discussed putting Pea down that day - her tummy was completely yellowish brown by now, the whites of her eyes were also very yellow.  She lost her bladder, and was laying in her urine - looked like a animal rug ( the feet were out to the east west, and north south - not normal at all ).   I held her all day and night, she was shivering, so I put her in my bed and used the electric blanket to keep her warm, her temperature dropped from the normal 100's, to 99 and she was cold to the touch.   I prayed that she'd live through the weekend.   I spoke to her Breeder that night, thinking she might want to come and say goodbye, and she looked up her papers - it was Pea's 11th Birthday - January 26th.   Oh my gosh, to think she might die on her birthday.   I just cried.
Well, she made it through the weekend, and the Custom Formula's arrived on Monday, just as Mark promised.   I began mixing them with a little water and chicken broth and syringing it down her throat - twice a day.   That was on January 28th.
Pea is doing AMAZING!!!  Her stomach is no longer yellow - its the normal color, as are her eyes.   She eats regular dog food meals.  She loves her treats.  She runs with the other Papillon in the yard.  She hits the side of the bed in the morning to tell me to wake up - just like she used to.  She hits my leg when I'm in the rocking chair to tell me to pick her up and rock.  I can't hardly believe my eyes.  She barks again.  She's the NEW IMPROVED version of Pea.   It's a miracle.  The custom formula works.   I still give it to her twice a day with chicken broth, ( she tolerates the taste better ) and we have to use a bib ( as you can see in the picture ) because sometimes she just doesn't want it and spits it out or lets it dribble out...lol - she's a character.  There are no more shivers or trembling episodes.  She's regular with her bathroom habits again.  I'm so grateful and thankful for this site.   I've told all my friends and even put it on my facebook page.   Thank you and thank you again and again.
Pea's very thankful and grateful Mommy.

PS:  I just ordered the formula for the Trachea/coughing, since the other Papillon, Pew,  spent the night in an Oxygen tent due to a coughing/choking spell.  I will write a review once he begins it.  :)  I'm sure it will make a huge difference.

Maggie improves Coughing with Hound Honey and Lung Qi Support - Phlegm Heat

I did order the honey hound heat and the powder herb mixture for my 13 yr old mixed breed baby.  I am SO happy to say I believe this is working for her!  She is rarely coughing now and there is no mucus coming up.  She is very finicky so I give this to her mixed up in a shot glass with a bit of peanut butter…she licks it clean.  Thank you so much…I thought I was losing her and now she is doing so much better.

RIP Plato

I just wanted to say thank you all very much for helping Plato. Plato lost his battle with malignant melonoma in his mouth last Thursday night. Because of your products i believe it gave Plato a little more time on Earth. Thank you all so much for all you do. You took time out of your busy schedule to call me and help me with Plato. That's more than my vet did. Take care and i will continue to buy your products for my other dogs and myself. On another note i have a wolfhound mix named Pita. Pita has had thyroid cancer now for over 3 years. Ive been giving Pita BSST which has been keeping here alive i believe along with some super vitamins. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Update on Benjy, our 4 year old male, neutered Miniature Poodle:

He first started having bladder stone blockages in early July 2012 and had a
surgery to remove large bladder stones.  He had off and on problems despite
change in diet to Hills Prescription S/D and very limited treats of any kind.  By
November he was being catheterized every Friday ($60!!)  to open his urethra
of sandy clogs of dissolved stones.  We were desperate!!

We received the Urinary Free the Flow-Damp Heat on Saturday, December 8th
[after catheterization the previous day] and started him on the dose recommend
-ed, 1/2 tsp 2X a day.  We served him the Hills S/D smooshed up with the herbs
and added some very thin chicken broth twice a day.  It smelled like a curry
and he LOVED IT!!

It has now been over 4 weeks and he has been peeing a full stream ever since
the day he started the herbal product!!  Now I have just slightly decreased his
intake of the herbals to a less than full measuring spoon for the past week and
he is still doing very well.  He is a very happy boy!!  He is also able to hold his
urine for longer periods of time, sometimes several hours, so he is having
better control of his bladder with less dripping and excitement urination.

This product has actually saved my furbaby's life!!!  We are so thankful to you
and your company!!  Our vet is aware that we are using this product and we are
updating her as well.  We will continue to feed the Hills Prescription Diet for now
with moistened dried cranberries and other fruits and veggies as treats and
maybe later start adding a bit of meat to his food gradually if all is well.
