Dr. Pink's Update On Robin

Dr. Pink Pinkerton, herbalist extraordinaries, received this update from Robin yesterday. She tells him that she is back in the swing of things, although she is carrying some extra baggage!

Dr. Pink remembers when Robin could barely get up because of the residual effects of Lyme's disease. Viki who is Robin's person has been so wonderful, such a great dog mom.

Dr. Pink Pinkerton salutes Vicki for her care of the very sick Robin who is on her way to recovery.

Great News!

Last night we finally got good enough weather to start holding our outdoor agility classes. Robin participated in her class for the first time in 2 YEARS!!!!!! She is still heavy, but if she continues to improve and move more, she may get back to competitive weight yet.

I took her to my craniosacral therapist this Monday. We tried doing an Ionic footbath with Robin and got LOTS of ugly stuff out the bottom of her feet. I continue to soak her in Epsom salts at home when she seems to be in need of releasing toxins.

Just thought you’d like to know. We are on maybe the 4th day of her new powders.

Thanks,

Vicki and Robin

Dr. Pink Pinkerton would like to share another picture and story of his furry patients. He says she's another beauty and he is wowed by her. And most importantly he is happy to report that the Collapsed Trachea formula worked for Ms. Little Dixie.

HI Dr Pink Pinkerton and PawHealer;

Please find enclosed a picture of your patient and my Dixie.
She was found near the woods in the country full of ticks and fleas with her hair so matted it had to be cut off before she could be brushed. My daughter found her and I agreed to take her as a buddy for our 15 year old pom. Sassy. They are great friends and they are my little angels. I am so greatful that God sent her to me! I've had her since last Sept. She is on a weight loss food prescribed by my vet and made by Science Diet. She has lost some but it goes off slow like us!

You must love the animals a lot to study so long and hard.
I will be ordering again soon and this time, you won't have to wait until my check clears, you will know it is good so maybe you can ship sooner. I will keep it on hand, maybe I can give it to her differently after the 30 days is up?? Will need to know that.

I am praying that you can find the right formula for the dogs and cats that haven't gotten relief yet.

Sincerely,
Charlotte bcutt@mcmsys.com

Meet Hardy......Allergies Galore!

Pink Pinkerton would like you to meet Hardy. She is a repeat customer of the www.pawhealer.com website. Dr. Pink has been working with her person to once and for all get rid of this girl's allergies.

Hardy's wheezing has been so bad that it was starting to affect her quality of life. Cary (her person) first ordered the collapsed trachea formulas...it did some good, but it didn't do the job. The team recommended that Cary look into doing a formula for sinuses....and he did it....

Dr. Pink Pinkerton is pleased as pink to say that his furry patient Hardy is on the road to recovery.

I don't want to speak to soon ,but I think she is quite a bit better and the wheezing/ sneezing is much less, even though she still will have a few attacks each day- the herbs seem to be working. I am keeping my fingers crossed she keeps improving. She seems to be a bit more energetic and playful as well, and beck to bossing me around. No more rabbit kills thank God but the cats live in living hell. She is now being bothered by her foot which must have a sore spot but she is mean about looking at it and tries to bite me. I will check it out better tomorrow, when she was a little baby one of my horses pushed his stall door open and it wedged her foot under it she was in allot of pain and I think that it has bothered her a bit throughout the years off and on and we also have sand spurs which are very painful if you get 1 in your foot. The toads aren't out yet-- that's another crisis when they arrive!!
Do you know Dr Thomas at For Love of The Horse?
He has saved my Cushing's foundered mare with his formula's he is so wise and no one said she could be saved and to put her down, she is now running around her paddock like a young filly enjoying the grass which she could never handle before because of laminitis. When I found Dr. Thomas the mare was in really bad shape and couldn't stand but for a few minutes at a time this went on for 6 months-- She was on so much medication without it helping I finally quit all pain medicine and percolide which she had been on for years now I have her sound enough to ride lightly and only on the Chinese herbs. If you have never been to his site it's worth checking out the forum at http://www.forloveofthehorse.com/. Thanks for all your help I am eternally grateful. Take Care, Cary

From Charlotte from somewhere in the midwest...

Dr. Pinky Pinkerton (the handsome fellow on the header) is always happy to hear from his patients. He normally prefers to post about them with pictures, but he is wanting to start strutting "his stuff"...so he has instructed me, The PawHealer, to put up information about ALL of his furry patients.

Who am I to argue with Dr. Pink Pinkerton, herbalist extraordinare?

Dr. Pink wants you to meet Charlotte. This was Charlotte's first time using herbal medicine for her dog Dixie who had a cough due to a collapsed trachea.

Hi,

Dixie is improving and per our phone conversation, you mentioned that she might need a tonic when she finishes her med. That will be about 20 more days.
do you think she will have to stay on the herbs after the 30 days or just wait and see? Also how much is the tonic? She sneezes now and the cough is very infrequent.
Is it possible that she will be cured? When she does cough it is generally when she is excited to see me. My vet did not hear anything to indicate a heart problem when he listened, he did mention that her heart could be enlarged which would show on an x-ray. So far, I am very pleased with the herb mix.

Sincerely,
Charlotte bcutt@mcmsys.com

Meet Robin...Fighing Lyme Disease...

Wow....Dr.. Pink Pinkerton was bowled over by the beauty of this Ms. Robin. She's a looker he tells me!

But sadly Dr. Pink Pinkerton has been working with Vicki, Robin's person, in order to help this beauty recover from a tick bite that caused her to become ill with Lyme's disease from those damn tick bites.

Errrrrr,,,,,,damn those ticks says Dr. Pink Pinkerton.

The Pawhealer Team is getting ready to send out the second batch of herbs to Vicki....we conferred with experts in the field and they felt that we should layer our herbs with more exterior heat clearing herbs.

We are doing a blend of xiao chai hu tang modified with some herbal antibiotics. Dr Pink wants his readers to understand that Lyme's disease is one that lies half on the interior of Robin's body and half on the exterior. It is Dr. Pink's job to help Robin push that evil heat pathogen out of Robin's body so that she can recover more swiftly.

Dr. Pink also has provided a formula called sheng ling bai zhu san and wei ling san to help with Robin's digestive issues, which are water retention and weight gain.

Hi Holly,

I wanted to update you on how it is going with Robin. I upped her dosage of the powder to a large teaspoon twice a day. She is tolerating it well in the congee, but since I feed small amounts of her food due to her weight issue, I don’t want to make her food almost totally medicine and no actual food. She has improved in general but starting yesterday and this morning she is back to licking herself and her eyes are really irritated and weeping. She also has a lameness in her right front that seems to come and go. Earlier this year after we had been out snowshoeing with the dogs she developed a sore right front. After watching it for several days she suddenly got very ill with a high fever and her foot started swelling. The vet determined that she had stepped on something and gotten a bacterial infection through her foot. We treated her with anti-biotics and it went away but now and then recurs as a lameness there. She is getting to the last 1/3 or so of her bottle of powder so I am wondering where we go from here with the symptoms we have and if I should stay with the amount of powder she is getting or should raise or lower the dosage. I guess I was not clear on whether to be giving her 1 teaspoon twice a day for a total of 2 a day or more than that. Since she had trouble tolerating it in the beginning, my approach has been conservative. She has been through so much in the last two years.

So---do we try a different formula with the symptoms she is presenting now or stay with what we are doing? Do you have any ideas for the lameness and the body inflammation in the mucus membranes causing the vaginal itch and eye inflammation?

Thanks for your help!

Vicki and Robin

Update On Dixie.....Say Good Bye to Unsightly Lumps!

Dr. Pinky Pinkerton loves to show off his achievements....Remember Dixie, she is the senior citizen that had two Lipomas, one was the size of a base ball on her right hip, so big she could not hardly walk.

Dr. Pink (the handsome fellow in the header with the glasses, look closely)is happy to report that her person Jan, says Dixie is doing fantastic.

Ya gotta Luv It!

Just a little update......

Dixie improves daily. Yesterday, she went on her first walk in about six months. She went approximately a quarter of a mile. She was exhausted, but very happy.

Yesterday, I made Dixie and Max turkey, kidney beans, carrots, green beans, brown rice and sweet potato in the pressure cooker. Man, these are some HAPPY dogs. They love the food, have no digestive problems and their coats get shinier and pretty every day.

We are so thankful EVERY day for your help. The tumor is shrinking before our very eyes. It was so big before, that when she was laying down, her hind paws were up in the air. That no longer happens.

YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!

JAN

Good Bye To Sweet Jeff

This is the sad part....Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I shed a tear today for Colleen and Sweet Jeff.

It so saddens us when we lose these dear sweet dogs.

Here is the good bye from Colleen.....

Just wanted to let you know that we took Jeff yesterday to be put down. Most of you know that he had been in congestive heart failure for the past month and that we tried a few ways to help him, but the abdominal swelling continued and he became weaker over time. He did have good days when we thought we had turned a corner, but then he would falter once more. I miss him so much.

It never ceases to amaze me what perfect gifts our animal companions are, and how much pure Love exists when they are here. Added thanks from the heart to those who have shared in his care in these last few weeks. I just wanted to let you know.

Big love,
Colleen
