Foods to sustain the kidney...Kidney Yang Deficiency

This is a list according to the notions of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). There are two aspects to understanding the TCM kidney system, one is kidney yin and one is kidney yang.

To under stand this system, lets use an a car as the analogy:

The fluids of the car, which include liquids such as oil, break fluid, windshield fluids, transmission fluids....are the yin aspect of the car's body.

The yang aspect of this car are the breaks, the steering wheel, the chassis, the transmission, etc...This is the actual functional aspect of the car...the working part's if you will.

Without the necessary fluids and liquids, the car will burn up and breakdown. What happens when our car lacks these necessary liquids? The answer; It over heats....the heating up of the engine because of the lack of fluids is called YIN DEFICIENCY. Yin deficiency is heat.

If the car begins not not properly function, and it begins to break down, the car is then becoming YANG DEFICIENT. Yang is the functional aspect of our car...and because it can't run....Yang deficiency is cold.

First step is to determine if you or your pet is warm or cold. Does your dog pant most of the time? Or does the furry friend want to snuggle under the covers most of the time?

If your dog seems hot; this is YIN deficiency, conversly if your dog (or you) is cold, this is Yang deficiency (strictly dealing with the kidney system).

Here is a list of beneficial foods for both you and your dog for kidney yang. I will post kidney yin tomorrow. Keep in mind that dogs are meat eaters, so use this list with common sense for a dog. I want to post this list to benefit both you and your dog!

Kidney Yang Beneficial Foods:

anchovies

Happy New Year!

Hello Holly, Mark, Sebastian – and all of my friends at PawHealer,

Happy New Year!!  I hope that all of you and yours had wonderful holidays and that all is well with you.  It has been a long time since we’ve spoken – all of my babies are doing so well!!!  Angus, my 14 ½ year old Maltese, had been licking at his groin area a lot, the tip of his “pinkie” was out and looked uncomfortable – I found a couple of long hairs in his sheath and removed them and have been lubricating it which helped a bit - I decided to give him the Stonezyme that I had purchased for Banjo a while back - and in five days he is perfect!!  So I called to say hi and ask your thoughts about it and order another bottle yesterday but you haven’t had a chance to call back - I am sure that you are so very busy so I just placed an order online.  Mark, if you have a chance, do give me a call sometime: 310-404-5665.  It would be so nice to hear your voice!!  =)

Photos of my three boys, Angus, Dinger and Banjo are attached.  We all send our love!!!  Thank you for all that you do – you truly are wonderful.

Love,

Suzy

Herbal Success For Eliminating Heartworms...YAY!!

A customer sent us this note: And Quiana is now wanting to use herbs for joint support. You have to love the results of Pawhealer Heartworm Support herbal formula!

I have been using your heartworm formula along with other things and my dog has received a negative heartworm test result! I am seeing she still needs some help. In the last 6 mos. she appears to have aged quite a bit and her joints are giving her more trouble (limps readily and seems to be in pain) I take her to a chiropractic / naturopathic vet who has given her adjustments and they don't tend to hold very long.. She does not have a real cough but very rarely (1x a week or so, she will have a slight strained breath .. not exactly a wheeze but as close as she gets to one). I think her teeth hurt her a bit, but the vet did not want to deal with her teeth while the heartworm was "UP". Suggestions based on what you offer? The vet gave her wei chi for a general support formula (might not be spelling it right) thanks so much! :) Quiana

Raja the Huskey Acting Young Again!

Just wanted to give you an update on Raja.
She has only been on the herbs I ordered a short time, but I’ve already noticed a difference. Recently she went wild with a huge burst of energy like she had when she was younger – quite expected for a Husky. I had to find a spot to let her run free for a little bit to get that energy out. The only thing different are the herbs – Dissolve, Thyro, and Garlic for fleas. She loves the garlic tablets and Thyro. She chews them up like they are treats. I’m surprised by that. Anyway they are doing something positive for her. So I am grateful. And I’m pleased that she hasn’t had any unpleasant side effects from the herbs.  I’m thankful for that too.
I will have to try a few other herbs you have.

Love Hound Honey Cough Syrups!

This is Nola and the herbs have helped her coughing. Here is what Nola's mom says:

I need the Hound Honey ( Phlegm-Heat ) for my Dog's has an enlarged heart with a collapsed trachea. I tried your suggestions and have had good results, I just need another bottle of the Hound Honey ( Phlegh-Heat ). Thank you for such great products.

Nola is using the Phlegm Heat formulas. We have all kinds of formulas for dogs coughing due to lung and heart issues. Our herbalist can help you by recommending products. Chinese herbal  medicine does not have one product for a condition. We can have twenty different formulas for a dog that coughs. We pick them based on a group of symptoms...that include, heat, cold, excess, deficiency...a completely different language than what we are accustomed to hearing. Not to worry however, we do the work for you.

Patches and Seizures

Here is a thank you notice from one of our customers.

I have nothing but great things to say about Pawhealers and your herbs. My Paches had numerous seizures monthly for over six years until I found your site. The herbs and change of diet had stopped her seizure completely for over a year and a half. Unfortunately she had to have surgery and was put on an antibiotic, chloramphenicol, that kept her PH from being absorbed. To make a long painful story short, I just wanted to let Mark know that we have lost a baby girl. I blame the doctor and the medication given her. Your natural herbs was the best thing we could have ever done for her. They made the last year of her life seizure free. Thank you all so much. I tell everyone about your site and will continue to do so. Jeanette Boyd Baton Rouge, LA
