Meet Hansel...A Great Dissolve Story! No More Lump!

Hello!
I just wanted to let you know that your lump dissolver formula worked great on my dachshund. He had a lump larger than a golf ball on his waistline because of an infection, and it was not getting smaller.

The vet had suggested surgery as an option. I then found your website, and called about the Herbal Dissolve formula.

The person who answered made two bottles for me with an extra proportion of the herbs that drain pus. Within 10 days the lump was down to the size of a pecan, and then it gradually decreased until it was gone. Thank you for offering this herbal remedy!
Hansel loved his "chicken with herbs" so much that when the herbs were gone, I got him some powdered greens so he could still have his herb treat every day!
Thanks again,
Barbara

Meet Journey ...A Happy Bladder Stone Story

This is one of the favorite PawHealer stories that's been received to date. The reason that I love this story so much is that Carol actually WORKED at helping Journey. She was patient, she worked on his diet, gave the herbs daily without fail, did not expect miracles.....and it did the job. I love the fact the fact that she also did this in conjunction with Journey's doctor...a team effort to say the least.

Carol....the PawHealer team thanks you so much...it's stories like yours that make it all worth while!

Thanks so much for all your help with my boys Bladder Stone Problems.
Without your herbs, he would have had to have surgery, and the problem would
probably have re-occured. Here's what happened.

In Oct. 2008 I rushed my show/obedience/agility 3 year old Giant Schnauzer
to the vet because he was lethargic, not eating and could not urinate. He
would lift his leg, but nothing came out. After a full exam with ultra
sound and xrays, he was diagnosed with bladder stones. His bladder was more
than 1/2 filled with stones. The vet said that he required surgery, but I
wasn't allowing that. I felt there had to be a better way. We catheterized
him to relieve the pressure and empty his bladder. After several attempts
we finally got the catheter past the site where the stones had settled in
the urethra to form a complete blockage. We also were able to collect a lot
of the lodged stones and found ( after analysis ) that he had both struvite
and crystal stones. My vet wanted me to put him on a prescription diet and
monitor him. But, h can't eat the "Prescription Diet" for stones because he
is allergic to glutens/grains. So, the only thing we could do was put him
on antibiotics for a urinary tract infection. The vet had very little
confidence that this would solve the problem. When I got him outside he
was still straining to urinate and then going( if you want to call a drip
every 3 seconds urinating) every 10-15 min. It was so sad. As soon as I
returned home I called Holly at Pawhealer and explained the situation. She
immediately prepared a formula and sent it out "overnight" to me. She
explained that this was a work in progress and it might take as long as 4-6
months. I didn't have a problem with that, as long as we could fix it. I
started using her formula the very next day. So , the only thing working
for him were the Pawhealer Chinese herbs and my prayers. ( Actually, these
were probably the two best things available.)

Every month, when I was near the end of the herbs, I would call Pawhealer and
re order the stone formula which Holly would change slightly to address any
new situation with the stones. She would sometimes send another formula to
help with the recovery process. As the healing progressed, he went from,
drops of urine, to dribbling urine, to small streams. Throughout this
time, there would occasionally be blood in his urine and he would drip (
bright red) blood from his urethra. The vet said that he was most likely
passing stones when this happened. The stones were aggravating the urethra
and causing it to bleed.

We monitored his progress with ulta sounds and x-rays and found that the
stones were indeed dissolving. Each x-ray/ultra sound showed his bladder
having less stones. He was able to urinate a little better each week and now
he is almost completely free of stones and is healing beautifully. After 5
months we have returned to our training classes and are showing again. It
may sound strange, but you can't imagine how happy I am to be able to say
that my dog can urinate without any trouble. He acts healthy and happy
and back to his old self. One more round of herbs and I'm sure that we will
be completely normal. I plan on keeping him on a maintenance dosage, so this
never happens again. The Chinese Herbs were the only thing that I did for my
boy in order to eliminated the stones. If your dog is having a health
problem...I would highly recommend you try Pawhealer Chinese Herbs.

First of what a great picture of Hut...I especially like the black and white photo.

Hutt has had life long digestive disturbances and his owner is now giving herbals a try at balancing this handsome canine's digestive system. Along with of course, working on the foods she feeds him every day.

Thank you Holly and Mark:

My big boy is doing well. I'll keep you posted on his progress. I sent you a few pictures to see your patients Hut and Sennacott (cat)

Thanks again
Heather

The Human Condition

I work with people and I work with pets. Happily I get ready to sit for the national boards by this February as my career begins to take shape. It's all about me getting in the study mode.....I love the direction I have taken, I love working with pets and yes....even people.

But there is a frustrating element when working with herbs....and that's our overall mentality which comes from the culture of the past 50 years...This is the expectation that if we take one single pill we can then fix everything.

With herbs...sometimes one single formula can indeed work....and in other instances it may take a couple of tries at getting it to change the condition. But when sitting back and thinking about it is can we really say that it is really any difference than western medicine?

Not really.

Every day I work with so many people in which the dog has not been responding to western drug therapy. This is because either the drug just does not work, or the pet has become resistant to the medication.

And for some reason people give a lot more allowance if you will, to western pharmaceuticals...this can be confirmed by the gigantic veterinarian bills that I hear that people have paid.

By the time people have found me...they want ONE formula to work God Damn It.

Or I have scammed them, yes name calling is a regular occurrence, even if I offer to give them a FREE second formula....that just sucks...can you imagine?

It's okay, because 90% of the time we do benefit the pet and they improve at least 50% and everybody is happy as the pet finds it's way back to good health.

But I can't help but feel discouraged sometimes....Mostly at the current human condition.

I don't understand why people can't see that too many drugs can actually hurt their pet...not to mention themselves....people take way too many prescriptions and its spilling over to our animals. It seems to me that no one is holding our doctors or our veterinarians responsible for this state of affairs.

The other day while at my acupuncture clinic, I was treating a man that was on 26 different medications. The side effects were taking an incredible toll, because by now, he can barely walk or get out of bed each day.

It's not my place to tell him he has to reduce the drug load....it's obvious that he is dying a slow medicated death...

As its not my place to tell pet owners that their lovely little family members are breaking down under the load of numerous medications and they are also dying a slow and complicated death.

It doesn't matter, animal or person.....too much of a good thing can be bad.

So where does that leave us?

We have to work at getting better. We must work on what we and our pets eat. We must view everything that we put in to our collective mouths as the opportunity to heal ourselves.

We must also find herbal remedies that can work in conjunction with our medications...because they can actually help to minimize the drug side effects, and may actually help to reduce the necessary western medications, which indeed are a great thing, but given in large quantities, and for long periods of times, will begin to back fire...

In other works herbs and meds can work together, so we don't have to choose...why does our society believe we have to do one or the other? I ponder so often about that.

I just wish people would be as tolerant when working with herbs as they are with western meds....

When people call me...

I have one single shot....and if my one single shot does not work...people become angry...

Even being called names is okay because you know what? I know I have a responsibility to these people who believe in this type of healing, and because the bar is set so high for me....I do a great job... because peoples high expectations are making me into the best herbalist I can be...

I love meeting expectations...every day I work to be the best there can be and I love when I hear the sweet sound of a pet owner telling me that the dog or cat they love is doing much better. It is like music to my ears....

Now it's your turn to work at getting better and time to open your mind....

Don't turn away from something that can work...

Have a little patience...

I promise we can make a difference (I'm writing this to the 10% out there that have no tolerance!).

Give herbs the chance that you have given the western medications...if you give equal time to the herbs, you will get the result you seek.

This is because in my humble opinion they are fantastic.....but take heed, I'm not saying they are a magic bullet....I think it's important for all of us to keep the following in our mind;

There are no wise men and there are no magic bullets......we must work at good health, we can not find it in a bottle or a pill...and that is the sad truth for our dogs and cats.

Lily 15 years Young Working With Coughing Herbs

Here is a video of Lily one of our older dogs. we have been working with Lily for a cough that seems to change with the seasons. During the summer it is dry and hacking and during the cold winter it has been phlegmy.

This is an example of how the environment can change the situation. In other words, since Lily has internal heat and internal damp, the weather changes will change the presentation of her cough. In each instance we have to use a different set of herbs to help with the cough.

Here she is!
