Meet Enchantee....One of our favorite stories

Dr. pink Pinkerton and I received a 9-11 call from Robin, Enchantee's person (mom). She was in tears because everyone was telling her to put down this beautiful girl who is 15 years old.

Enchantee had developed a cough that could not be stopped, she was in the emergency room and still they could do nothing for her.

That is when the team got the phone call asking for something for her baby, she was not ready to let her go....Bowser said Dr. Pink Pinkerton, lets get this stuff out Federal Express so we can help this beauty that is in distress.

The PawHealer never knows if we can help...we just use our best judgment and pick the pattern that the cough fits into....and we cross our tails and toes and fingers. In the case of Enchantee, we felt that because she had hind leg weakness, it was a case of Kidney Not Grasping the Qi....

Guess what....IT WORKED for Enchantee and she is 15 years old and she is now now not coughing.

This is the note we recieved;

Hi, Holly!

Thank you for asking for a picture of Enchantee'. Here is a picture of her before she lost her jaw to cancer. I will to up load a current photo of her and send it to you asap.

In addition to less coughing, she also has a lot more energy. Probably more than she has ever had since she had to have her jaw removed two years ago. This stuff is magic! She is 15 and acting like she is 5!

We cannot thank you enough for your help with our "daughter!"

Update On Baby Dumplin; Her Cough Is Better!

Whooo Hoo says Dr. Pink Pinkerton.....Bowser do we like to receive these e-mails!

From: bettyoki

Subject: Re: ( collapsed trachea )

HI Holly, I have had company from out of town since Sunday. I am once again, back to normal. Thank you for your response. Dumplin has been so healthy, she never has had to take a pill or medication in her 13 years, therefore, I will continue to sprinkle her herbs over her food. I have found a way to conceal them by putting a small amount of chicken broth over the food and herbs. It has worked, so far. I certainly am happy to be able to report, good news. Dumplin is also , just about blind and her hearing seems to be failing. I may have mentioned that I have a two year old male, Brussels Griffon. His name is Mr. Hennessey. He is Baby's eyes & ears ! They are so precious together.

Baby Dumplin....

Dr. Pinky Pinkerton, the herbalist extraordinare (he is the handsome fellow sitting on the chair in the header)wants to strut his herbal stuff. Because once again the team has done it ....helped a dog that is coughing due to a weakened trachea, to stop coughing.

Dr. Pink wonders why people will sacrifice the health of a pet because the pet does not like something, although that something makes them better????

Bowser says Dr. Pink, if I was coughing and coughing, I would hope that my person would take the initiative and make sure I getting my herbs. Sure they don't taste great, but coughing all day long is much worse and could at the end of the day, kill me...BOWSER!

Don't people know that us canines look to people to help us?

Here is an e-mail from Betty, Baby Dumplin's person. Dr. Pink would like to pitch a pet peeve he has based on this e-mail....

Hello Holly, Just returned home from a trip . Baby Dumplin seems to be some better since using the formula. I will need to find another way to get her to take it as she doesn't like to eat the food that has it on it. Do you have any ideas ? Dumplin is 13 years old and as the old adage goes, " It's hard to teach an old dog. new tricks'! She has eaten the same food for years. She doesn't want to eat now, although, when she gets hungry enough, she will eat ! I have another younger dog and he wants to eat her food, with or without the formula. I have been away visiting my Family, so perhaps, now that I am home, I can get on a better routine. I feel I have wasted some of the formula as Dumplin didn't get all she needed. I sincerely feel she is not coughing or gagging as much, However, I will need to find another way to give it to her.

. My Daughter in N. C. gave one of her client's your email & phone number. You may have already heard from the lady. MY Daughter's Grooming shop is The Impeccable Pooch, in Banner Elk, N. C. Betty McCoy

Chico; After 5 Long Years..........

Bowser says. Pink Pinkerton....Five long years of coughing;

STOPPED in its tracks. This little dog Chico no longer coughs.

Chico is not the only lucky dog, this week the team has contacted 10 CT coughing dogs and all but one of them is now not coughing, and we are going to work with the one dog not responding.

We are so happy for Ray and Chico...he sent us these lovely pictures, and he also ordered up the herbal and food therapy support to help rebuild his breathing system.

We love helping dogs with chronic coughing, there is nothing better in the world then to hear people tell you that there long time sick dog, is now fine and dandy.....Bowser, its a great thing.

A Picture & An E-mail Speak A 1000 words.....

From: Joy

To: holly@pawhealer.com
Subject: Kit's collapsed trachea

Hi Holly, I must admit, when I received your herbs for lung heat, I was reluctant to try them with my 12 year old, Golden Retreiver, Kit. His asthmatic breathing had gotten a bit better. Then I went out of town for a week and he got off the liquid glucosamine and could barely walk due to his arthritis. When I got back, he was also wheezing again and I started the herbs, along with pain meds/gluc. Two weeks and he's a new dog! I am shocked and thrilled at how well your formulas worked. His breathing has completely returned to normal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. The vet said he had a collapsed trachea and said there was nothing they could do for him because of his age and the danger of surgery. Keep up the good work. Arf! Arf!

PokeMan......NO MORE COUGH

Dr. Pink Pinkerton would like express his outrage....The picture of the pretty girl is PokeMan.....

The vet said her cough could not be stopped because she is so little and had a small windpipe....

Dr. Pink Pinkerton said nonsense to that baloney.....let the PawHealer team have at that bad supposedly collapsed trachea....

And BHAM.....we sent Pokeman the herbs....the 8 month ole little girl is fine. The vet said she would need to be put down.

Hi Holly
just want to say thank you so much for helping our baby girl Pokemon to get better! We had almost lost all hope after 3 vet visits & treatments of antibiotics, then to see her continually get worse! Out of desperation I did a web search about Collapsed Trachea & found you! We felt we had nothing to lose by giving your remedy a try, & I am so glad we did! The improvement with her coughing & honking is a real miracle! We cannot Thank You enough, keep up the good work!

Dr. Pink Pinkerton would like to share another picture and story of his furry patients. He says she's another beauty and he is wowed by her. And most importantly he is happy to report that the Collapsed Trachea formula worked for Ms. Little Dixie.

HI Dr Pink Pinkerton and PawHealer;

Please find enclosed a picture of your patient and my Dixie.
She was found near the woods in the country full of ticks and fleas with her hair so matted it had to be cut off before she could be brushed. My daughter found her and I agreed to take her as a buddy for our 15 year old pom. Sassy. They are great friends and they are my little angels. I am so greatful that God sent her to me! I've had her since last Sept. She is on a weight loss food prescribed by my vet and made by Science Diet. She has lost some but it goes off slow like us!

You must love the animals a lot to study so long and hard.
I will be ordering again soon and this time, you won't have to wait until my check clears, you will know it is good so maybe you can ship sooner. I will keep it on hand, maybe I can give it to her differently after the 30 days is up?? Will need to know that.

I am praying that you can find the right formula for the dogs and cats that haven't gotten relief yet.

Sincerely,
Charlotte bcutt@mcmsys.com

From Charlotte from somewhere in the midwest...

Dr. Pinky Pinkerton (the handsome fellow on the header) is always happy to hear from his patients. He normally prefers to post about them with pictures, but he is wanting to start strutting "his stuff"...so he has instructed me, The PawHealer, to put up information about ALL of his furry patients.

Who am I to argue with Dr. Pink Pinkerton, herbalist extraordinare?

Dr. Pink wants you to meet Charlotte. This was Charlotte's first time using herbal medicine for her dog Dixie who had a cough due to a collapsed trachea.

Hi,

Dixie is improving and per our phone conversation, you mentioned that she might need a tonic when she finishes her med. That will be about 20 more days.
do you think she will have to stay on the herbs after the 30 days or just wait and see? Also how much is the tonic? She sneezes now and the cough is very infrequent.
Is it possible that she will be cured? When she does cough it is generally when she is excited to see me. My vet did not hear anything to indicate a heart problem when he listened, he did mention that her heart could be enlarged which would show on an x-ray. So far, I am very pleased with the herb mix.

Sincerely,
Charlotte bcutt@mcmsys.com

Update On The Famous Msssss Daisy

Hi,

Thank You for helping us with Daisy's problem. Daisy has her condition under control, she is 95% better thanks to you. She is acting normal using one gram for breakfast and one gram for dinner. Daisy sleeps all night and so do I.

My question is , how long do I continue this treatment? Is it a lifetime of drugs for Daisy?

I am very happy with the results.

Thank You,

Carl P

The Pawhealer Team, Dr. Pink Pinkerton the handsome fellow and herbalist extraordinaries (his picture is on the header) told Carl that Daisy required a follow up formula to nourish M. Daisy's Yin.

This will take away the last 5% of the cough and Ms. Daisy is set!

We are so thankful that Carl let us be a part of the healing process of the famous Ms. Daisy.

Thank You Carl and Ms. Daisy.

FormulaDr. Pink Pinkerton (the handsome fellow up on the header) and I did our usual follow up on our patients....we received this from Mugsey.

We told Lisa, Mugsey's person, that she needs to increase the dosage. If Mugsey is doing better with only one dose a day....wowser says Dr. Pink Pinkerton...he'll be healed completely if Lisa gets this into him three solid times a day.

Thanks for asking, I think he is better, some days he seems to be laboring in his breathing but others he seems ok. I still use 1 gram in his food per day. But I haven’t needed to give him any other meds other than an asprin from time to time.

Wow what a cute little dog!

Mugsy In MA......

Dr. Pink Pinkerton, herbalist extraordinare would like to introduce Mugsy, here is his story....Of course the team will be updating this post as we learn of his progress.

Hi Holly,

I received your product today thanks for shipping so quickly.

Suggestion, let people know that the little spoon is 1gram. I assumed but others might not know that.

Attached is a picture of Mugsey, he is 15 lbs and 12 years young. I was told two years ago that he had a heart murmur and a partially collapsed trachea only because I brought him to the vet for another problem. I gave him one gram tonight and will give to him three times daily for the next few days as instructed. Hint: I melted some cheese in the microwave and mixed the powder in the softened cheese, he gobbled it up. At least that way I was sure he took the whole dose.

I will keep you updated on his progress thanks again for your quick response,,, good luck on your finals.

Introducing Mssss. Daisy

Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I were informed the very first time I spoke to Daisy's person, that she was a very famous dog, she had been on TV....

Ms. Daisy has a cough, not sure if it is a Collapsed Trachea cough, but none the less, it has been a problem.

She is doing MUCH better;

Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I are amazed at her beauty and we are so happy she is feeling better.

Daisy had a very goodnight, it was the first in weeks. I am doing one and one half grams four times a day. One dose every six hours. The heavy coughing has shortened and less severe. She can go hours with no problems. If it continues I will go with four hours.
Thanks

holly mead wrote:
I just reread this, try it every four hours. We want to really get at that heat!

On 4/7/08, Carl @yahoo.com> wrote:
Hi,
Daisy is still having problems but we feel the more she takes the medicine the less hacking. I have found that giving her one gram mixed with honey every six hours works best. When she has a breating attack it lasts only a few minutes.
I think she has control over hacking for food. Everytime David or I go into the kitchen Daisy follows with an attack. Daisy also is able to go hours without any problem but once she gets nervious or physical she starts hacking. If I shout at her to go lay down she is able to stop. I feel she has control of her problem but using it for attention.
If it continues until Wednesday, I will call the vet for an x-ray.
Thank You and I will keep you up to date.

Update on Snoop Dog's Wheezing

I did my follow up today with Snoop Dog...he has a pretty heavy wheezing formula and Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I wanted to know how Snoop was doing.

Deanna says Snoop Dog is doing better, but the herbs are upsetting his stomach.

Dr. Pink and I wrote back to Deanna that Snoop Dog needs to get on a formula to now treat the root problem of the wheezing, because he no longer in an acute situation.

They are taking him off the Cortisone and the herbs have helped him do this.

But now its time to put him on tonics to deal with the root problem.

I hope Deanna follows through with this, because the wheezing herbs are bitter and cold...it's probably really giving him a stomach ache.

Now he can breath, but I'm sure he has a stomach ache and I've heard he farts alot...Oh no!

Hi Holly,
He seems to be doing pretty good!
The only thing it seems to upset his stomach a little as I'm having a little trouble getting him to eat the food w/ the powder mixed.
Other than that I'm seeing positive results!

Thanks!

Meet Savannah....The Love Of Her Mother's Life

This is Savannah, when I spoke with Catherine her dog mom, that was how she introduced Savannah to Dr. Pink Pinkerton and me, "The Lover Of Her Life".

Savannah has just been diagnosed with a Collapsed Trachea...this is following a couple of respiratory infections....

I am getting so many inquires for this disease, and most of the dogs have had some sort of infection prior to the diagnosis of Collapsed Trachea.

These are the things that make ya go Hmmmmmmm.

Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I will keep you updated as we hear how this very precious sweet pea does with the formulas.

Bad Case Of Wheezing; Meet Snoop Dog!

The PawHealer team has been working with Snoop Dog...he's only 18 months old. The wheezing formula is working for him, getting him off the predisone.

We have sent out a second batch to Deanna for Snoop Dog, but there is some concern here. Snoop has really bad wheezing, and regardless if its Predisone or the herbs, these medicinals are hard on the stomach.

So, the PawHealer team, me and Dr. Pink, have been researching solutions for a formula that can be used for a long term solution along with a strong anti wheezing effect.

The PawHealer is in the middle of finals for school and has been really busy! We have many dog and cat friends we will be adding to our blog once the semester has ended.

THANK GOODNESS! The PawHealer is tired to say the least....

Hi Dr. Pink Pinkerton and PawHealer!!

Just want you to know your formula seems to be working for my little Snoop Dog a 15lb Boston Terrier. He is only 1.5 years old and was diagnosed w/ collapsing trachea at the very bottom where it splits.

Anyway, they have him on Prednisone, Lomotil, & Aminophylline. They are insisting to get him off prednisone which I know why but when he is off he absolutely cannot breathe and is gasping for air.
I received your package yesterday after I already had given the prednisone but I didn't give him the other 2 meds.

This morning I decided not to give the Prednisone and instead I used the wheezing formula first, then the cough formula.
He has alot more trouble with wheezing than coughing. Any suggestions? I'm really hoping this helps him get off the meds. Is there any side effects?
Thanks

Meet Bully...One Of Our First Customers

This is Bully and he has a collapsed trachea...but there is a story about Bully. He is one of the first dog's that started working with Dr. Pink Pinkerton and myself.

Rudy (Bully's owner)...is a dedicated and loving pet owner. He has been searching high and low to find a cure for Bully's trachea.

One day he happened to find our website, and I would say we have been working together for over a year.

But Bully and Rudy have a problem. Rudy's wife does not believe in Chinese medicine so Rudy has to keep everything a secret and he can't talk to us on the phone...

So we have just recently gotten Bully's cough under control because of the communication limitations. The team has to hand it to Rudy, he is incredibly dedicated to old Bully.

Bully has weak knees, so Rudy has to carry him up the stairs at night when they go to bed. Rudy watches over Bully day in and day out, and cares so much about healing Bully.

The many dogs that get have received the PawHealer's Collapsed Trachea herbs can thank Rudy and Bully, its because of them that we kept working on the formulas until we found the key that works for the dreadful problem that afflicts these small dogs.

Thank You Bully and Rudy!

Mandy's Cough....A Tough Case!

Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I have been working with Mandy, her story is published below...anyway Mandy had the typical harsh, and we mean really harsh, honking cough.

Of course the Pawhealer team thought nothing of this problem because we are getting such a good response, and Mandy sounded so typical that we had high hopes for her recovery.

Dr. Pink and I received an e-mail from Jeannie (Mandy's mom) and she informed the team that Mandy was getting NO better....

The Pawhealer team became worried. We told Jeannie that in a few instances that it could take up to ten days to get a change to the cough.....

Another day then goes by...The team sent an e-mail to Jeannie that we wanted to speak to her about getting another formula out to her based on the newest symptoms of coughing...which was a deep seated cough...deep and rumbling.

But then....we received a call from Jeannie...we held our breath....with worry...

And guess what?

Jeannie told the PawHealer team that Mandy's cough was over....But poor Mandy was spent with exhaustion!

Wowser...was the PawHealer team happy.

We told Jeannie that Mandy needed another formula to build back her energy and help her lungs recover!

Wheeew......this was a tough one for the team!

Hi Holly! My dog's name is Mandy, she is a black Pomeranian, and she will be 11 years old April 1st. Did I order the right medicine in your opinion? She does have dry skin always. We give her fish oil and oatmeal baths for that. Any other suggestions?

Hi Jeannie,
I am having great success with the loud constant cough...When it is loud like that, I believe that there is what TCM calls Lung Heat. You might say another word is "inflammation". The herbs go down and scour the lungs and remove turbid filth...the stuff that is causing the extreme cough.
Yes there is an herbal formula that works for stuff like asthma, because it does what you mentioned, which dilates the airways, and stops wheezing. Ren Shen Ge Jie San is more for that deficient weak cough.
If you would like to try the arrest wheezing formula let me know, I have not had any experience with it, although it is listed in most holistic Veterinary manuals for asthma....Same concept right? I think it might be a nice add on to either set of formulas.
I mailed your herbal formula Friday early in the day. You'll have it Monday.
How much does your dog weigh and how old and what is the pooch's name? Anything are health related issues? Perhaps skin?

Hi Holly! My name is Jeannie. My dog Mandy is almost 11 years old and has a collapsed trachea. She was diagnosed and treated as a puppy but has not had trouble with it since. She now has a very loud cough and it is constant. On Friday I ordered your SANG BAI PI TANG MODIFIED. Will this help dialate the airways as well as help with the cough? How long before it starts to work? I assume it comes in the mail and I was wondering when I will recieve it. I see that you recomend REN SHEN GE JIE SAN MODIFIED after she takes the SANG BAI PI TANG MODIFIED. I an eager to hear from you. Thank you for you're time. Jeannie

Holly, Mandy reacts to the kennel cough vaccine. We do not give it to her through her nose, she gets a shot, but the vet gives her a shot of cortisone first. We elected not to gve it to her for years bcause she does react to it. She has not had one this year because she had to have a cyst removed and we wanted to wait. She has problems allergies as I do. If my allergies are bothering me hers are too, for this I give her Benadryl. IShe eats Perscripteve ID or Pedigree chicken and rice. Turkey Breast for treats.

I would never give that vaccine again, or for that matter none...I would also seek out a holistic vet so that you can get the scoop. I feel that your dog is immune compromised....makes sense right?
They have a test that they can run on your dog before any shots, to see if they actually need the shots...but none the less, your dog does not every need a KC shot!
There was a big holistic thing here this weekend, and the vets that attended won't take dog patients that continue to receive the vaccines. There is a big movement under foot about this problem, I think that we'll see big changes in the coming years because I our pets are very sick as a result of the abuse of vaccines.

Meet Chandalar...Whata Pretty Girl!

This is Chandalar, she is the bigger dog, not the stuff toy in the purse and Chandalar has been having terrible problems with her trachea, causing her not to get any sleep because she's coughing and wheezing almost 24 hours a day!

Not to worry.... Pink Pinkerton and The PawHealer to the rescue!

We are doing alot of work with her...in fact Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I actually enhanced our collapsed trachea protocol herbs with Chandalar...we included a formula for wheezing. Between the formula for the coughing and the formula for the wheezing, Jody (Chandalar's dog mom) says she is doing so much better.

Pink Pinkerton and I have posted Jody's e-mails that she has sent tot he team.

What we are finding, is that every little dog is different. Dr. Pink and I encourage our dog friends to work with us, because as we get the information, we work with dosage, learn about the cough, and we make modifications as necessary.

The team is very thankful to Chandalar's mom because she gave us a lot of feedback as we worked with the new formula...and now Dr. Pink Pinkerton and I can offer it to other dogs with wheezing as well as the coughing.

We now have three formulas;

Coughing, Wheezing and Gagging.

Not all dogs have those three different types of coughs. So we now offer formulas to match the different sounds and it seems to be increasing the effectiveness of the herbal remedies.

Details My Chichuachua mix, Chandalar, has been diagnoised with a heart murmur and enlarged heart, and now has pretty severe collasped trachea. I'm concerned that the constant coughing (honking) is causing the trachea to weaken even more. I have a medication that is a cough suppressant with codine which give us (her and me) about 3-4 hrs of sleep at night before the coughing starts again. I am mostly concerned that she is suffering when trying to breath, even though the rest of her life quality is fine. She is a rescue dog and is about 7-8 yrs. old. I would say that she is coughing 75% of her waking hours. Do you have any suggestions? Jody

Have a Wonderful Relations Ahead

Sincerly,
PawHealer.

Holly,
Received it yesterday and she has had two doses now.
I had given her some children's cough syrup and a mild doggie tranq (as this worked well the day before) and we all have a relatively good nights sleep. Today I will only giver her the herbs so any progress can be noted. I have to say coughing has reduced to wheezing at this time, but I'll be with her all day and will be able to tell more.
Thanks so much for your timely response

Well, she is still wheezing and still has coughing spells. But, I notice some of the coughing sounds are wetter now and was wondering if the herbs were loosen up somethng and causing this.
Also, I think it seems that she is better (less coughing) because she seems to be sleeping alot and very soundly. She will have a coughing spell (a honking wheeze everytime she exhales) but they are a little less often and shorter, but she will shortly thereafter lay down and sleep for a while. After herb time, she will sleep so deeply that I sometimes checks to see if she is breathing!
Are some of the herbs acting as a sedative?
I don't mind that she is sleeping so much as then she isn't coughing and it is giving her throat and trachea a break and time to heal a little, but want to be sure it isn't harmful.

oh I have been giving both at the same time since yesterday AM, when you told me too. She is sleeping now (again!) so I'll let you know how it is going. As long as it isn't harmful for her I'm happy to have her sleep so much, then she isn't coughing and inflaming her throat so much. But she is still wheezing with each exhale when she has an event. Just that the events are less often and shorter.

Holly,
I used the last of the 'wheezing" herb this morning and am now administering the other bottle of herbs you sent me.
There is definite improvement, although of course the wheezing and coughing has not gone altogether, but I feel it is now at an acceptable level.
So...do I need to get more of the wheezing herbs or should I just finish up the other before a dertmination is made?
Jody
